The White House on Tuesday sent its proposal to the Senate for nomination to courts other than Subramaniam in the New York District Court. Subramaniam will become the first South Asian judge to serve on the US District Court for the Southern District of New York after Senate approval.

Subramaniam is currently a partner in the law firm Susman Godfrey LLP in New York. Here he is working since 2007. Subramaniam earned a JD from Columbia Law School in 2004 and a BA from Case Western Reserve University in 2001. The National Asian Pacific American Bar Association has congratulated Subramaniam on his nomination. eso.
