Maulana Badruddin Ajmal, president of Assam’s main political party AIUDF (AIUDF) and Lok Sabha member, has made a big allegation on the Assam government and the BJP. Ajmal said that attacks on Muslims and madrassas have increased because BJP wants to take votes by intimidating them and stay in power in the 2024 elections.

Maulana Ajmal also targeted CM Himanta Biswa Sarma for running bulldozers on madrassas in Assam. He demanded that the Assam government stop bulldozers on madrassas, otherwise his party would go to the Supreme Court.

In a discussion with ANI, Ajmal alleged that the BJP and the RSS were targeting Muslims. It also said that there may be some anti-social elements in the Muslim community and the government should take action against them. We have no objection to this, but will not tolerate bulldozer action on madrassas.
