These accounts will remain frozen till the amount is recovered.

The Agriculture Department is continuously excluding the ineligible from the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Recently, the list of income tax payers was prepared by the Agriculture Department. In this, 2722 income tax payers have come forward, who took advantage of Kisan Samman Nidhi. These people received Samman Nidhi of Rs 2.41 crore from the Central Government. Now action is being taken to recover it.

CDO had sent the list of ineligible

Letters were sent to the banks to withdraw the money from the bank accounts to which the money was sent. But due to non-availability of funds in about 1500 bank accounts, the recovery could not be done. Due to this, the Chief Development Officer has sent the list of these ineligible to the Leading District Manager Anil Prakash Tiwari.

He has ordered to freeze all the bank accounts of the ineligible people immediately. These accounts have been frozen on the orders of the CDO. Till the amount of Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi is not returned from these accounts, these accounts will be kept frozen.

700 ineligible have returned Samman Nidhi

By issuing notices to the income tax payers by the Agriculture Department, orders were given to return the amount of Samman Nidhi immediately. After this, about seven hundred ineligible people have returned the amount of 40 lakh rupees. At the same time, more than two crore rupees are yet to be withdrawn from others. At the same time, the process of recovery of honorarium from about five hundred farmers is going on.

Chief Development Officer Vinod Kumar said that now there is no money in the bank account of the ineligible who took Kisan Samman Nidhi. Due to this, orders have been given to the Lead District Manager to freeze all the bank accounts related to the ineligible.
