A major road accident has occurred in Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh. Four people died in the accident, while more than 24 people were injured. The injured have been admitted to hospital. Seeing the condition of six of the injured in critical condition, they have been referred to Lucknow Trauma Centre. Police reached the spot and started investigation by taking possession of the dead bodies.
According to the information, this accident happened when this double-decker bus got punctured on the way and the driver started changing its tyre. At the same time a speeding truck hit the bus from behind. According to passengers, there were around 150 passengers in the bus. All are residents of Nepal. All of them were going to Goa for labour.
The accident happened near Mahungupur village of Ramnagar police station area in Barabanki. A speeding truck rammed into a double-decker bus from behind at around 3.30 am on Saturday. Actually the double decker bus was going from Rupadiha in Bahraich to Goa, at the same time it got punctured near Mahungupur village.
The driver of the bus started changing the tire of the bus on the side of the road. Then a speeding truck coming from behind hit the bus hard. Four people have died in the accident, while about two dozen people have been injured, who have been admitted to Barabanki District Hospital for treatment.
Seeing the condition of six people from there, they have been referred to Lucknow Trauma Center. As soon as the information about the accident was received, the police of Ramnagar police station reached the spot and took everyone to the hospital.
