After the death of former minister Ramveer Upadhyay, the entire Hathras was immersed in mourning on Saturday. When the funeral procession of Ramveer Upadhyay reached the Labor Colony Park here on Saturday morning with hundreds of vehicles from Agra, thousands of people paid their last respects to their beloved leader. People gathered there for several hours. Many public representatives, politicians and officials paid tribute to him.
From there his body was taken to his native village Bamauli. There the body was cremated late in the evening in the presence of a crowd of thousands. Chiragveer Upadhyay, son of former minister Ramveer, lit the fire. The eyes of thousands of people became moist during this time. It is noteworthy that former minister Ramveer Upadhyay (65 years) died at Rainbow Hospital in Agra late on Friday night after prolonged illness. He was battling cancer and other ailments for a long time. As soon as the information about the death of Ramveer, a strong leader of the state and several times, the minister of Kabina, crowd of his supporters reached his residence in Shastripuram, Agra.
There around 10 o’clock in the morning, his family members along with his supporters left for his last journey with hundreds of vehicles. People stopped his funeral procession from place to place and showered flowers and paid tribute to him. Around 1.30 pm, his body was brought here at Labor Colony Park for last rites. Thousands of people were already present here. As soon as Upadhyay’s funeral procession was brought here, people gathered to pay homage to him.
On this occasion State Minister of State Anoop Pradhan, MP Rajveer Singh Diler, Former Minister Jaiveer Singh, Former Minister Shyamsunder Sharma, MLA Anjula Mahour, MLA Sikandrarau Virendra Singh Rana, Tundla MLA Prempal Singh, MLC Rishipal Singh, Former MLA Shri Bhagwan Sharma alias Guddu Pandit Many politicians including BJP State Vice President Devendra Chaudhary, Braj Bahadur, Raghuraj Pratap Singh, BJP District President Gaurav Arya, former MP Rajesh Diwakar, former MP Dr. Bengali Singh, Municipal President Ashish Sharma paid tribute to him.
