Goa Police reached Sonali Phogat’s residence in Sant Nagar for the third consecutive day on Friday in connection with the murder of BJP leader. Inspector Darren DiCosta’s team searched the rooms on the first floor. Three diaries and some documents were found here. All these were taken over by the police. During this, an attempt was also made to open the locker of the cupboard. During this the neighboring king was made a witness.
The police conducted a search operation here from 12 noon to 3.30 pm. During this, to open the locker of the cupboard, the family members were asked for the password but no one knew anything. After this the team members spoke to the officials in Goa and got the accused Sudhir Sangwan to talk over a video call.
When Inspector Darren DiCosta asked for the password by showing the locker of the cupboard, Sudhir Sangwan told the password twice but the locker did not open. After this the Goa Police sealed the locker. Earlier, Goa Police has attached the property documents. One by one information about Sudhir Sangwan has been collected from all the family members. Goa Police is probing the Sonali murder case by linking it to the property angle.
Even the key to the lock on Sudhir’s room in the house was not found
Sonali’s brother Watan Dhaka told that Sudhir Sangwan used to sleep in the room below. His room is locked. This room was not searched by the Goa Police. The family does not know about the key to this room. Sonali’s brother-in-law Aman Poonia said that Goa Police is wasting time. The truth will be known only from Sudhir Sangwan.
Our team is investigating as per the orders received from the officials. We have taken some documents in our possession. The process of investigation is going on now. If needed, will go to the bank and tehsil office again. – Darren DiCosta, Inspector Goa Police.
