Election campaign is at its peak in Gujarat. The sharp rhetoric of the leaders continues. Meanwhile, a Congress leader has created a controversy by saying that only Muslims can save the country. BJP leader and current Chief Minister of the state Bhupendra Patel tweeted this statement of Congress candidate from Siddhpur assembly constituency, Chandan Thakor, saying that fearing defeat, the Congress has again resorted to petty politics of minority appeasement. But, Congress should know that no one can save it from defeat.

In the video, Chandan Thakor while addressing a public meeting in Gujarati says, “We voted for them (BJP) to do new things, but they cheated the whole country by taking votes.” Now only Muslim society can save the country and only Congress party can save Muslim society. To give only one example, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi fought on the street on the issue of NRC.
