Making serious allegations against the police in Haryana’s Panipat, Traffic Police Head Constable Ashish Kumar resigned on Thursday. He said that on Wednesday night, an accused selling illegal liquor was caught in Wadhavaram Colony. Which was chased away by two policemen who came in civil dress. Hurt by this, EHC Ashish Kumar resigned in the English branch through the army clerk branch.
In the resignation letter to the SP, Head Constable Ashish Kumar alleged that on 19, 20 and 21 September 2022, he was posted in the Tehsil Camp police station area. During this, the accused involved in the business of gambling, intoxication and illegal liquor were caught. On September 21, two policemen in civil dress reached the spot and helped the drug smuggler to escape.
He said that the criminals have got the protection of the police. I am hurt by this. His conscience cannot see such things happening. Such acts should be stopped immediately. If the police is not able to stop them, then their resignation should be accepted. Ashish Kumar had also informed about this through social media before resigning.
Head constable Ashish Kumar’s name came in the case of assault
In the same colony where the head constable has accused of freeing the liquor smuggler, his name has also appeared in the report filed in the case of assault in Wadhavaram Colony. Now investigation can also be done in this matter. According to the report filed on the complaint of Chirag, a resident of the colony, on September 21, two youths came and started asking him about the illegal sale of liquor. The youths beat him up. Chirag alleged that both the youths posed as the man of head constable Ashish Kumar. In this case, the police of Tehsil Camp police station has started investigation after registering a report.
Does not do duty at designated place: SP
SP Shashank Kumar Sawan said that Ashish Kumar does not do duty at the designated place. He reaches anywhere. Ashish’s duty is East Zone, while he is raiding in a separate police station area, which is indiscipline. He has talked about mental stress in the office many times, due to which no action was taken against him. In the past, departmental action has been taken against him in two cases.
The accused Jaskirat has been arrested by registering a case in connection with the illegal liquor found in the house located in Wadhavaram Colony. The allegations leveled by Chief constable Ashish will also be investigated. Action will be taken if any policeman is found to be involved in releasing the accused. Ashish has already filed for voluntary retirement in the year 2018. At that time after counseling he was allowed to stay in the department. Now counseling will be done again.
