In the case of Mahant Narendra Giri, who was the President of Akhara Parishad, his disciple Anand Giri did not get relief from the Allahabad High Court. His bail application was rejected by the Allahabad High Court. After hearing on September 7, a bench of Justice Sanjay Kumar Singh, after hearing arguments from both the sides, had reserved the verdict and fixed September 9 for the pronouncement of the judgment. Senior advocates Gopal Swarup Chaturvedi and Imranullah Khan, appearing for the petitioner, said that there was estrangement between the petitioner and Mahant Narendra Giri, due to which there was a dispute. In March 21, Anand Giri had moved to Haridwar and broke ties with the Baghambri throne, Prayagraj. In May 21, Indu Mishra made a pact between Guru and Shishya in Lucknow. After that the petitioner never contacted Guru nor did Narendra Giri call him. There was no relation with the petitioner for six months before his death.
