For the first time in Jammu University, Alumni Association has been formed. It will bear the education expenses of the poor meritorious students studying in the university. Along with this, the Global Mentorship Program will also be started from Friday under the supervision of the Council. Its purpose is to give online guidelines to the children on behalf of such students who have come out of the university, so that they will be able to know about the possibilities of employment. This information was given by the Vice Chancellor of Jammu University, Prof. Umesh Rai in a conversation with Amar Ujala.

He said that the association has been registered. At present 150 members have also become. Under the rules, the Dean of Student Welfare will be its chairman. An Associate Dean will be the Secretary and another will be the Treasurer. Along with this there will be three nominated members. This time Ajay Bali, Administrative Officer Indu Kanwal Chib and NABARD GM Manohar Lal have been nominated.

Elections will be held for three members of the executive committee, vice-president, publicity secretary and joint secretary, which will be conducted by October. He told that the purpose of the association is to connect the students who have come out of the university. For this, along with the membership fee, donations will also be taken. Various activities of the association will be organized from the membership fee, while the amount of donation will be spent on the education of poor meritorious.

The purpose is to connect the ancient students with their soil
The Global Mentorship Program will start from Friday. On the first day, Dr. Fotedar from New Zealand will counsel the students of environmental science through online medium. A complete chain is being prepared for the dialogue, in which students from the university in other countries including England, America, New Zealand will be connected. The purpose of formation of the association is to connect the students out of the university with their soil. The benefit of this will be that the students here will get employment as well as help in higher education.
