Jharkhand News: The ED is tightening its noose on the close aides of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren. Now the ED has told the special court that it has come to know about illegal mining of stones worth more than Rs 1000 crore in Sahibganj and adjoining areas of Jharkhand. This illegal mining is completely controlled by Chief Minister Soren’s close aide and MLA representative Pankaj Mishra, who was arrested by the ED in the past.

The ED has said in its chargesheet that Mishra also installed crushers in almost all the mines. His share in all the mines was fixed, even the transport in the mines was under his control.

Three people made the main accused

Chargesheet of five thousand pages was filed
In the famous mining scam, a charge sheet of about five thousand pages was filed in the special PMLA (Prevention of Money Laundering Act) court in Ranchi. In this case, MLA representative of CM Hemant Soren Pankaj Mishra, businessman Bacchu Yadav and Prem Prakash are the main accused. In the chargesheet, evidence of a scam of about 1000 crores in money laundering and illegal mining has been given in Sahibganj area.

Criminal income of more than 1,000 crores
The ED said in a statement that criminal proceeds of more than Rs 1,000 crore have been detected so far from illegal mining in the state. In 47 raids, cash of Rs 5.34 crore was seized and bank balance of Rs 13.32 crore was seized. Apart from this, an inland water vessel worth Rs 30 crore and five stone crushers, two trucks and two AK 47 assault rifles have also been seized.
