The action against madrassas in Assam is not taking its name to stop. Another madrasa was demolished at Pakhira Char in Gopalpara district of Assam following the involvement of terrorist organizations. However, this time it is not the administration but the common people’s role in the demolition of this madrasa. Assam Police has informed about this action of the people. According to the police, two Bangladeshis lived in this madrassa who were inspiring people for jihad. It is worth noting that earlier the administration had taken action against four madrassas of the state and had toppled them.

Giving information about the fourth madrasa to be demolished, the Assam Police said that both the Bangladeshi nationals living in it are absconding at present, they will be arrested soon. He also told that Maulvi Jalaluddin Sheikh, who ran it, was arrested a few days back. He is accused of being involved in anti-national activities. CPRO of Assam Police said that people have also told that it was Maulvi Jalaluddin Sheikh who had appointed both the Bangladeshi nationals as teachers there. Both Bangladeshis have links with the Al-Qaeda Indian subcontinent and the Ansarullah Bangla team. Police said that there was resentment against these people among the people living there, after which today everyone together brought down the madrasa.

It is worth noting that earlier in Assam, the administration had bulldozers on three madrassas due to their links with terrorist organizations. These three madrasas were in Morigaon, Barpeta and Bongaigaon districts.

Let us tell you that earlier in Barpeta district of Assam, a madrasa which had sheltered two Bangladeshi members of Ansarullah Bangla team for four years was demolished by the district administration. After this Markjul Ma-Arif Quariana Madrasa located in Kabitari Part-IV village of Bongaigaon district was demolished. Assam Police has arrested 37 people linked to AQIS/ABT since March this year.
