Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar reacted strongly to JD(U) MLAs joining BJP in Manipur. JD(U) chief Rajeev Ranjan Lalan Singh also alleged political horse-trading in Manipur in connection with the joining of the Janata Dal United MLA to the BJP. He said on Saturday that the merger was done by the BJP using money power. The JD(U) chief said whatever happened in Manipur, the BJP did it by using money power. Lalan Singh said that BJP tries to change the government in Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh and Delhi and its effect is visible in the country. This kind of action shows that BJP is nervous about 2024.

Earlier on August 18, former JD(U) president RCP Singh was expelled from the post of party chief for being an agent of BJP. JD(U) chief Rajiv Ranjan Lalan Singh said that RCP Singh announced to join BJP, he was already working as an agent of BJP. Whoever talks of ending the existence of JD(U) will lose its existence.
