A new controversy has arisen after a Hyderabad customer directed online food delivery company Swiggy not to send Muslim delivery boys. Regarding this, TMC MP Mahua Moitra has asked Swiggy to issue a list of such customers and blacklist them and file a case against them with the police.
MP Mahua Moitra tweeted that the instructions by a Hyderabad customer not to send Swiggy to the Muslim delivery boy that fanaticism seems to be becoming a normal thing, it is sad. He asked Swiggy to make the list of such customers public and not to supply food to them further and to file a police complaint against them.
The TMC leader also said that this act of the Hyderabad customer is completely illegal. The Lok Sabha MP tweeted that what used to be a personal bias is now coming out as public majoritarianism.

The said instruction of the customer has been shared on social media along with the screen shot, Sheikh Salauddin, chairman of Telangana State Taxi and Drivers Joint Action Committee. He also wrote with this that ‘We delivery workers deliver food to everyone, whether the customer is Hindu, Muslim, Christian or Sikh.’
Karti Chidambaram also condemned
Congress leader Karti Chidambaram has also condemned such request of Swiggy customer. He said that Swiggy should take action against such customers.
