Congress leader Raj Babbar has praised the Modi government at the Center. Describing the Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana as a revolution, he said that more than half of the account holders in it are women.

Former MP Raj Babbar tweeted on Saturday and said, PM Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) completed 8 years. Money and help reach the people directly without any intervention, this is revolution. More than half the account holders are women.

The Congress leader also compared the current government’s ‘Jan-Dhan Yojana’ with the previous Manmohan Singh government’s ‘Aapka Paisa Aapke Haath’ scheme.

He further said, “Such a scheme in the name of ‘Aapka paisa aapke haath’ was started in the Manmohan Singh government also. The current government has certainly done better implementation.

Raj Babbar has been in Congress for a long time. At present, he does not hold any post in the party but is a member of the disgruntled G-23 faction of the Congress. Two members of this group – Kapil Sibal and Ghulam Nabi Azad – have left the party.
