Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday met former Haryana Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala at his residence in Gurugram. Nitish is on an official visit to Delhi after breaking the alliance with the BJP in Bihar. Party general secretary KC Tyagi also accompanied him.

Both the leaders also talked to former UP Chief Ministers Mulayam Singh Yadav and Akhilesh Yadav in private for about an hour. Many political meanings are being extracted from this meeting of theirs. It is being speculated that a big political announcement can be made on the birthday of former Deputy Prime Minister Devi Lal on September 25.

Before coming to Gurugram, Nitish has met Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in Delhi. An old friend of Bihar Chief Minister Omprakash Chautala and KC Tyagi, he has also attended Devi Lal’s birthday several times.
