During this, he was giving updates on the situation of record rainfall and subsequent floods in the country. During this, former Virginia Congress candidate and army officer Manga Ananthamula raised questions on the rape of women belonging to minority communities in the name of flood relief.
He raised the issue of gang rape of a minor Hindu girl in Sindh province and sought answers from Masood Khan on the issues of forced conversion, rape and other atrocities of minority women in Pakistan. During this, he also had a poster in his hand. After this Masood Khan looked quite uncomfortable.
157 women abducted in June
According to a report, 157 women were abducted in Pakistan in June. In this, 112 women were victims of physical abuse and 91 rapes. During the press conference, Manga Ananthamula said, why Pakistan has not been able to develop a sustainable infrastructure yet. He alleged that instead of infrastructure, Pakistan continued to invest in military and nuclear capability.
UN Secretary General has arrived in Pakistan
Meanwhile, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres arrived in Pakistan on his two-day visit on Friday. He has come to Pakistan to take stock of the flood situation. During this, he appealed to all countries to support Pakistan.
