Santosh Badoni, former secretary of the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission, surrounded in the paper leak controversy of various recruitment examinations, has been suspended by the government. Secretary-in-charge, Secretariat Administration Vinod Kumar Suman issued orders for his suspension late on Thursday night.

Last month, the STF had started investigation on the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in the case of paper leak of graduation level examination. Amidst the paper leak controversy, the first chairman S Raju had resigned from his post on moral grounds. After this, on August 13, the government removed Santosh Badoni from the post of secretary of the commission. Since Badoni is an officer of the Secretariat Service, he was given a joining as Joint Secretary in the Secretariat.

Meanwhile, 31 accused, including Rajesh Chauhan, owner of paper printing company RMS Techno Solution, have gone behind the bars. Whereas a case of theft through pen drive from the printing press of the secretariat guard recruitment paper also came to light. Questions were constantly being raised on the officers and officers of the commission. As the matter of paper leak is increasing, the opposition has also been continuously demanding action against the Speaker and the Secretary.
