Bengaluru-based actor Akhil Iyer has threatened to take legal action against the Congress party. In fact, the actor has accused the party of using his photo without his consent. In such a situation, the difficulties of Congress seem to be increasing.

‘PECM’ posters with the image of Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai have been put up across Bengaluru. Akhil Iyer’s photo has been used in one of these posters. Along with using the photo, it is written on it, ‘Are you still numb?’, ‘40% government has looted the careers of more than 54,000 youth.’ Actually, this Congress has put up these posters to take a dig at the ruling party of the state i.e. BJP.

Akhil Iyer has expressed his displeasure by tweeting about his picture printed on the poster. Describing the use of his photo as illegal, the actor said, ‘I am shocked to see that my photo is being used illegally and that too without my consent. I have nothing to do with this poster and now I will take legal action against it. In addition to writing his point, he has also tagged Congress high command Rahul Gandhi and leader Siddaramaiah in the tweet and urged them to investigate the matter.

On this controversy, Karnataka Congress MLA Priyank Kharge said that ‘Generally we use only Shutterstock photos for such campaigns. I am not sure if the picture was used by mistake. We have removed the post and are looking into the complaints.
