In protest against the government’s decision to conduct a survey of unrecognized madrassas operating in the state, a conference of madrassas of UP will now be organized on September 18 in Darul Uloom. Earlier, the date of 24 September was fixed for this.
The decision of the government to conduct a survey of unrecognized and self-financed madrassas has caused constant uneasiness in the Islamic world.
Describing this decision of the state government as unnecessary interference, madrassa operators are strongly opposing it. Darul Uloom, the main center of Islamic education, had called a conference of madrassas of UP on September 24 in Deoband to discuss the decision of the government and prepare a line of action. Changed to 18 September.
In this, more than 250 madrasas of Uttar Pradesh which are affiliated to Darul Uloom will be included. On Saturday, Mohtamim Mufti Abul Qasim Nomani of the institution has issued a statement and informed about the change of date.
It has also been said that Darul Uloom will clarify its stand on the issue after consultation with all the Ulama participating in the conference. In connection with the survey, Jagmohan Singh, the Registrar of Uttar Pradesh Madrasa Parishad, had written a letter to the minority officers of all the districts of the state, asking them to expedite the action. From today, the work of forming a team for the survey has started.
