JDU has launched a scathing attack on Bihar BJP chief Sanjay Jaiswal for furnishing misleading data regarding population growth rate in two districts of the state. JDU said that Jaiswal was trying to incite communal hatred among the people of the state. In fact, Jaiswal had claimed on Wednesday that the population growth rate in Kishanganj and Araria districts is the highest in the world. He told the reason behind this to the Bangladeshi infiltrators.
JD(U) leaders Neeraj Kumar and Arvind Nishad hit back saying that all BJP leaders including Jaiswal were engaged in inciting communal hatred among the people in the state to take political advantage. They are doing this because Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Bihar on September 24.
Jaiswal giving wrong and misleading information: JDU
The JDU leader claimed that Jaiswal was giving false and misleading information. The population growth rate in many other districts of India is much higher than that of Araria and Kishanganj. According to the 2011 census, Kishanganj has a Muslim population of 67 per cent, the highest of any district in Bihar, followed by adjoining Araria, where the figure is 43 per cent.
