Two road accidents have been reported in Doda district of Jammu division on Monday. It is being told that five people have died in these accidents, two people are injured and one is missing. The injured have been taken to the hospital for treatment, while the search is on for the missing. Doda Senior Superintendent of Police Abdul Qayoom said that within six hours five people were killed and two were injured in two accidents on the Doda-Bhaderwah road.

A car rammed into a gorge 400 feet below in the Niru river near Galgandhar in Doda at around 6.30 am, killing four people and injuring another, a police official said.

The deceased have been identified as Satya Devi, Satisha Devi, Vikram Singh and Lekh Raj, residents of Shiva village, who were going to Bhaderwah after attending the procession, he said. The injured has been identified as Naseeb Singh, who has been admitted to the hospital.

Earlier, there was another car accident in Mughal Market, in which two people were killed and one was injured. The SSP said that the accident happened around 12.30 am. Sajjad Ahmed of Tanggorna-Bhaderwah has died on the spot. Ravinder Kumar is missing in this accident, whose search is on. Piyush Manhas is injured. He is continuing his treatment in the hospital.

Dr. Jitendra Singh expressed grief over the accident

Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh has expressed grief over both the accidents. The Union Minister said that he has spoken to DC Doda VP Mahajan on the phone regarding both the accidents. Casualties of 6 persons have been reported in 2 separate road accidents. One injured has been taken to GMC Doda. Necessary help is being provided to them.
