Sudhir Sangwan and Sudhir Sangwan, accused in the death of BJP leader Sonali Phogat, have been sent to 13-day judicial custody. This order was given by the Masupa Court. In the investigation of the case, it was revealed that the death of BJP leader Sonali Phogat was due to drugs. Both the accused were arrested in the case of forcibly giving drugs to the BJP leader. Let us inform that his death was confirmed on 23 August.

Video of forcibly giving drugs had surfaced
Goa Police IG Omvir Singh Bishnoi had told after investigation in this case that Sonali was forcibly given synthetic drugs. A CCTV footage of the incident of giving them drugs had also gone viral. Based on this CCTV footage it was seen that accused Sudhir Sangwan and his associate Sukhwinder Singh were partying with Sonali in a club. It is seen that one of them forced the victim to consume a substance. During interrogation, Sukhwinder and Sudhir confessed that they intentionally mixed the liquid and made Sonali drink something. Sonali’s health had deteriorated due to overdose. Based on this, Sonali’s PA Sudhir Sangwan and Sukhwinder Singh were arrested. The IGP had said that as per the confessions of the accused, the intoxication took place at Curlies restaurant in Anjuna, North Goa.

Sudhir and Sukhvindra’s remand was extended
Earlier, Sudhir Sangwan and Sukhvindra, accused in the death case of BJP leader Sonali Phogat, were produced in the Masupa court on Thursday after two days of remand. After which, on the orders of the court, Goa Police again took both the accused on remand for two days. In the investigation so far, it has come to the fore that BJP leader Sonali Phogat was drugged by Sudhir Sangwan and Sukhvindra.

Curlies restaurant demolished today
In the Sonali Phogat case, the Goa government has taken major action on Friday. In this case, the government had initiated the demolition of the controversial Curleys Club this morning. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court stayed the demolition of a part of the club. After this, the administration continued its action on the remaining part except that part. This restaurant was ordered to be demolished for violating CRZ rules. This is the same club where the video of Sonali Phogat partying surfaced. It was in this club that Phogat was given drugs, after which he died a few hours later.

Curlies Club named after Edwin’s sister
Goa Police investigation has revealed that the club where Sonali Phogat was forcibly drugged is not in the name of Edwin but his sister Lynette. Edwin used to handle the club in routine. Goa Police’s investigation may reach Lynette.
