Uttar Pradesh has left behind 17 states in terms of providing employment. This has been told in the latest report of the Center for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE). According to this report, Uttar Pradesh has 3.9 percent unemployment, while Rajasthan has 31.4 percent unemployment. That is, less than half the unemployment in the state is less than the national average of 7.7.
CMIE has released this report based on the data of the survey conducted from May 1 to August 31. The survey has been done by the organization in 28 states and union territories of the country. The unemployment rate in Uttar Pradesh in the year 2016-17 was 17.5 percent. On this, CM Yogi Adityanath started Mission Rozgar to connect more and more youth with employment and self-employment.
So far, 5.15 lakh youth have been given government jobs, three lakh youth have been given contract service in government departments and two crore people have been provided employment in MSMEs. Apart from this, about 2.5 crore people and 25 lakh people have been provided employment in ODOP through MNREGA and Self Help Groups.
Employment to one member of every family soon
The state government is going to provide employment to one member of every family. Under the Family Welfare Scheme, the trial of the application portal will be launched soon to generate the ID of every family.
